愚人节的由来最普遍说法是起源于法国。据说在1964年的时候，法国首先采用新改革的纪年法来作为一年的开端，也就是我们通用的阳历，以1月1日为一年开端。因为以前是以4月1日为一年开端的，所以就算变了日子，守旧者还是会互赠礼物，组织庆祝新年活动，而改革者会嘲笑这些守旧者，久而久之成了愚人节，也把守旧者称为“四月傻瓜”。

The most common origin of April Fool's Day is that it originated in France. It is said that in 1964, France first adopted the new reform of the calendar as the beginning of the year, that is, our common solar calendar, to January 1 for the beginning of the year.
